Escape! (part 2)

It was inevitable...  First they could climb out of their whelping box, now the bigger box!

The new pen the babies are in has a swing down door opening that starts 12" off the floor. Up till now, I could leave it down so Neat could come and go as she pleases.  (not that she often pleased without encouragement. ) I awoke this morning to several pupppies in the outer pen WITH Neat, rather than their box. I am sure she was thrilled...

So now that door must remain up and latched and Neat's only access is someone letting her in. And here I though I might get to go back upstairs to sleep this week... oh well, NEXT week! I am going to try to increase them in the next several days to 4 solid meals though ,so maybe they will sleep through the night and not need to nurse. They need to get over that middle of the night snack before next week anyway!

(not certain who Rudolph is playing bitey face with)

(puppy, puppy, which puppy?)

(Blitzen)

awwww. Great pics! Little buggers are smart and agile climbing outta the box.

Too bad their hair is starting to come in.

They are still WAY cute though!

:-) That was supposed to be with the last comment.

Just joshin' bout the hair.....

sort of. :-)

Boy, it didn't take long for them to fray their brand new collars!

Mary found the trick to clipping toenails was to wait til they were sleeping. They were really good until Mary commented on how good they were, then it never failed that they would wake up and realize what was going on. Getting that last foot done was tough. Mary would remember better, but I think Blitzen and Vixen were still the hardest and Comet was the easiest.

Dancer is getting FAT. He almost looks like a b&W Ppod inthis photo....

The Pods are slimming down, thank you very much. Dancer is the champion eater. Even when Neat gets back in with them to clean out the pans, he keeps eating food, rather than nursing with everyone else. He is the first to the food pan and the last out of it.

Hey, Tap is not fat; he's pleasantly plump. :) He needs to keep up with his soon-to-be chunky brother. :)

Lisa, tell your slave driving boss you need some time off to post new puppy pictures!

I <3 Comet.

Carrie, he only eats so much since they gave him a complex that one time. Kept shoving him into the food tray on that one video!!!

Lil' guy just wants to please everyone. :-)
